Job Description

Job Brief: The transport of construction equipment and materials in a safe and timely manner to ensure the efficient operation of construction projects and needed agendas.

Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinating with General Superintendent on needed tasks
• Communicating with Foreman and Managers to ensure accurate completion of tasks
• General maintenance and housekeeping of float tractor and trailers
• Communication with shop and/or General Superintendent if repairs are needed for safe operation of float or equipment
• Performing daily inspections of float tractor and trailers
• Keeping accurate records of daily inspections and maintaining log book
• Maintaining location boards of all moves and position of all equipment and attachments
• Making sure that equipment is left on site in a tidy and safe manner
• Communicating with General Superintendent nightly to report completed tasks and plan the schedule for next day

Requirements:

• Experience in the transport of construction equipment and materials
• A-Z license and relatively clean abstract
• Possess physical strength, stamina and condition to perform needed duties
• Ability to communicate and interact both verbally and written
• Can work independently with minimum supervision
• Ability to complete needed projects on time and in effective manner
• Ability to assess situations and adapt or make needed decisions to complete task
• Flexible to work odd hours and extended shifts
• Ability to be prepared to work in all weather conditions
• Knowledge of M.T.O standards and safe working practices
• Knowledge and ability to insure that all loads are secured properly and safely
• High School Diploma
